Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
