Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; 26 And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, 32 That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. 35 But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). 36 and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. 37 And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. 40 And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. 45 Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. 46
