Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. 28 Then his wife came forward with a loud voice, she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” 30 ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! 31 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 32 That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. 34 We saved all the faithful in the town. 35 But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: 36 And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. 37 And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. 38 In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 39 We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. 40 There is another sign in the [tribe of] 'Ad, when We sent against them a life-destroying wind 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- 45 Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. 46
