The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created the human being 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
