So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: 'He is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him' 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Do their minds command them to do this, or are they an outrageous folk? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Is with them the Unseen, and they write it down! 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Or have they a god other than God? Exalted be God over what they ascribe as partners [to Him]! 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from heaven, they would say, 'A massed cloud!' 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
