Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or say they: he hath fabricated it: aye they will not believe. 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up." 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
