Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
