EXHORT, then, [O Prophet, all men:] for, by thy Sustainer's grace, thou art neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 And if they were to see a piece of the heaven falling down, they would say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 Extol His glory at night, and at the setting of the stars. 49
