(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
