So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
