(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
