(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 Thamud, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
