Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
