Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
