Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
