Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
