Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
