(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
