The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
