Prostration

Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
