The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). 1 And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic." 2 They also gave the lie to (the splitting asunder of the moon) and only followed their desires. Yet everything is destined to reach an end. 3 And surely there hath come unto them news whereof the purport should deter, 4 Containing consummate wisdom; yet warnings were of no avail. 5 Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair, 6 With looks downcast they will come forth, from the tombs, as though they were locusts scattered abroad. 7 Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller!- "Hard is this Day!", the Unbelievers will say. 8 ۞ Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out. 9 Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)!" 10 Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down 11 And caused springs to gush out from the earth, so that the two waters met totalling a quantity that had been destined. 12 And We bore him on that which was made of planks and nails 13 She floats under our eyes (and care): a recompense to one who had been rejected (with scorn)! 14 We made (the story of Noah) as evidence of the Truth. However, is there anyone who would take heed? 15 How (great) was then My punishment and My warning! 16 We have made this Qur'an easy as a reminder. Is there, then, any who will take heed? 17 Aad too belied. How then were My punishment and My warnings! 18 Verily, We sent against them a furious wind of harsh voice on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity. 19 and snatched people up as though they were stumps of uprooted palmtrees. 20 How terrible was Our torment and the result of (their disregard) of Our warning. 21 And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
