And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
