Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Anon will their multitude be vanquished, and they will turn the back. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
