The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Indeed, the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Last Hour will be the most severe, and the most bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
