The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
