Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
