The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
