The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Terror descends 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 They will hear no nonsense there or talk of sin, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
