۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
