▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
