In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise. 1 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and causes death; and He has power over all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing. 3 It is He that created the heavens and the earth in six days then seated Himself upon the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth, and what comes forth from it, -- what comes down from heaven, and what goes up unto it. He is with you wherever you are; and God sees the things you do. 4 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And to Allah return all the matters (for decision). 5 He turns night into day, and turns day into night; and He knows whatsoever is in your hearts. 6 Believe in Allah and His apostle, and expend of that whereof He hath made you successors to. Those of you who believe and expend - theirs shall be a great hire. 7 And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers? 8 He is the One Who sends to His Servant Manifest Signs, that He may lead you from the depths of Darkness into the Light and verily Allah is to you most kind and Merciful. 9 Why should you not spend for the cause of God, when God alone holds the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent and fought before the victory will be higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Yet God has promised you all a good reward. He is aware of all that you do. 10
