The Column (Al-Suff)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 1 O you who believe! why do you say that which you do not do? 2 Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do. 3 Lo! Allah loveth them who battle for His cause in ranks, as if they were a solid structure. 4 And when Moses, said to his nation: 'Why do you harm me, when you know that I am the Messenger of Allah sent to you' But when they swerved away Allah caused their hearts to swerve. Allah never guides impious people. 5 And recall what time Isa, son of Maryam, said: children of Israi'l! verily I am Allah's apostle unto you, confirming the Taurat which was before me, and giving the glad tidings of an apostle who cometh after me; his name will be Ahmad. Then when he brought unto them evidences, they said: this is magic manifest. 6 And who is a greater wrong-doer than he who fabricateth against Allah a lie even as he is summoned unto Islam? And Allah guideth not a wrongdoing people. 7 They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths but Allah will perfect His light, though the unbelievers may be averse. 8 It is He who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that he may uplift it above every religion, though the unbelievers be averse. 9
