Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things. 1 He who has created death as well as life, so that He might put you to a test [and thus show] which of you is best in conduct, and [make you realize that] He alone is almighty, truly forgiving. 2 who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 3 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them a means to drive away the satans. We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blazing Fire. 5 For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination. 6 When they are thrown into hell, they will hear its roaring while it boils. 7 As if about to explode with rage; whenever a group is thrown into it, the guardians of hell will ask them, “Did not a Herald of Warning come to you?” 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 And they will then say: 'If only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the Blaze' 10 So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames. 11 As for those who fear their Lord in the unseen will have forgiveness and a rich reward. 12 And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). 13 Shall He not know, who created? And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware. 14
