Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Reality! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning! 5 and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind 6 Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you might have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were the trunks of hollow palms. 7 Do you see any vestige left of them now? 8 And there was Pharaoh, too, and [many of] those who lived before him, and the cities that were overthrown - [all of them] indulged in sin upon sin 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 so that We might make all this a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in. 12 When a single blow is blown on the Horn, 13 and the earth and the mountains are carried aloft and are crushed to bits at one stroke, 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. 17 That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden. 18 On that Day, he whose Record is given to him in his right hand will say: “Lo! Read my Record! 19 "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" 20 So he shall have an agreeable life 21 In high empyrean 22 its fruits are near. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure – the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 and knew nothing of my reckoning. 26 Oh, would that it had been the ending! 27 Of no avail to me is all that I have [ever] possessed, 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 (It will be said): Take him and fetter him 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long - 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. 34 So no friend has he here this Day, 35 and the only food he has is filth 36 which only the sinners will eat.” 37
