28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! 1 Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe no partner unto our Lord. 2 And that He-- exalted be the majesty of our Lord-- has not taken a consort, nor a son: 3 And that the foolish amongst us used to forge extravagant things against Allah: 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 ‘And indeed some men among humans used to take the protection of some men among jinns, so it further increased their haughtiness.’ 6 Like you, they thought that Allah would never raise the dead. 7 'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 notwithstanding that we were established in positions [which we had thought well-suited] to listening to [whatever secrets might be in] it: and anyone who now [or ever] tries to listen will [likewise] find a flame lying in wait for him! 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths. 11 And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight. 12 When we heard the call to guidance, we believed in it. He who believes in his Lord has no fear of loss or of injustice. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 And proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that ‘Had they remained upright on the straight path, We would have given them abundant water.’ 16 That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Quran, and practice not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell). 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 When the devotee of God stood up to invoke Him (the jinns) crowded upon him (to listen). 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
