Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! 1 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). 2 And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 And that we thought that men and jinn did not utter a lie against Allah: 5 But there were certain men of mankind who would take refuge with certain men of the jinn, and they increased them in vileness, 6 And that they thought as you think, that Allah would not raise anyone: 7 And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And so we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends to guide them. 10 And some of us are the righteous, and some of us are otherwise; we are sects differing. 11 Indeed, we thought that we should never be able to frustrate God in the earth, neither be able to frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whosoever believes in his Lord, he shall fear neither paltriness nor vileness. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 but those who deviated from the Truth, will be the fuel for Hell.” 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 ‘In order to test them with it; and whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord – He will put him in a punishment that keeps on increasing.’ 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 when God's servant stood up to pray to Him, they pressed close to him in great numbers, almost stifling him. 19
