۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed; 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 and casts forth whatever is in it, and becomes utterly void, 4 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed! 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 But will be roasted in the fire. 12 They lived among their people joyfully 13 Truly, did he think that he would not have to return (to Us)! 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 So I swear by the twilight glow 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 You shall certainly travel from stage to stage (in this life and in the Hereafter). 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them do not bow in adoration? ۩ 21 Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So give them the good news of a painful chastisement, 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
