Nay, and by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning for people -- 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
