By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
