By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except those of the right hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
