By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
