Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
