Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
