Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
