Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
