Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
