Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
