Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 Wherefore when We recite it, follow thou the reciting thereof. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
