Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Surely yes, why not? We can properly make all his phalanxes. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
