Verily We! it is We Who have revealed unto thee the Qur'an, a gradual revelation. 23 so be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and obey not one of them, sinner or unbeliever. 24 And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. 25 and during the night prostrate ourself before Him, and extol His glory for a long part of the night. 26 Verily! These (disbelievers) love the present life of this world, and put behind them a heavy Day (that will be hard). 27 We created them and strengthened their joints; and whenever We wish, We can change their faces entirely. 28 Verily this is an Exhortation; so let him who so will take a way to his Lord. 29 But you cannot will it unless God wills [to show you that way] -- God is indeed all-knowing and wise -- 30 He is Merciful to whom He will; but, for the harmdoers He has prepared for them a painful punishment. 31
